[ Air ]

The Air Rune harnesses the elemental power of the air. It can be used to create solid barriers out of air, to fly, or to whip up a small tornado. It is represented by a small tornado shaped funnel that appears to spin on it's bottom axis. It typically requires at least five rounds to create a wind, with stronger winds taking longer. When forming a funnel cloud, or tornado, it requires a half hour per level to generate the winds and focus the energy properly.

Level 1: The Dreadnought can create a stiff breeze of about 10 miles an hour, or cause a small patch of air to become solid for a period of time equal to the dreadnoughts level in rounds, or 5, whichever is higher. This solidified patch of air cannot exceed 2 feet by 2 feet. Solidified air is only one molecule thick, making it a great tool for cutting soft things. At this level, it can provide a shield which will block the first attack that hits it, or 5 health levels, whichever is less. The solid air is visible to the human eye as a patch of semi disturbed air.
Level 2: The Dreadnought can create a hard wind of about 35 miles and hour that will knock small objects over, and blow away papers. They may also make a larger patch of air become solid for a period of time equal to his level, or 5, whichever is higher. This patch of air cannot exceed 6 feet by 6 feet. At this level, the solidified air can be used to move small things around that weigh less than ten pounds. It will take up to two attacks, or 10 health levels, whichever is less.
Level 3: The Dreadnought can create a small tornado that will suck up small, light objects, and throw them a few yards. Winds can be up to 100 miles an hour. They may also lift their own body weight off the ground for a short period of time, or slow a fall. The patch of air that may be turned solid increases to 20 feet by 20 feet. This patch of air can be used to lift up to 50 pounds at a time, or it can stop up to 3 attacks, or 15 health levels, whichever is less.
Level 4: The Dreadnought can create a larger tornado that will tear houses to bits, any debris in the area will become deadly projectiles. Winds may be up to 200 miles and hour. The Dreadnought may also sustain short flights of no more than 5 rounds in duration, with a speed equal to their normal running speed. The patch of air that can now be made solid is 50 feet by 50 feet. The patch of air can take up to 20 health levels of damage, or four hits, whichever is less. It may also be used to lift up to 250 pounds of weight at a time.
Level 5: The Dreadnought may create a huge tornado with winds in excess of 300 miles per hour. It will demolish houses, and destroy everything that comes into its path. The Dreadnought may now experience true flight, darting among the clouds, with no restrictions on speed or height. The patch of air they may make solid will support a group of peoples weight, though it may be up to 100 feet square. The patch of air may be divided into smaller patches, which may be used to attack people, as well as defend. Attacking, each patch of air can do up to 3 health levels of damage, or block up to 5 attacks, or 25 health levels, whichever is less.

[ Electricity ]

Electricity, it runs almost all machines, gives us light, and is the foundation of almost everything we do in the modern world. The Electricity Rune causes electrons to flow. Nothing more. However, having massive amounts of electrons flowing through the air, through water, or through your body, isn't exactly a little thing, now is it? The Electricity Rune is represented by a bolt of lightning that encircles the upper arm, it doesn't matter which one.
Electricity can be in of two forms. AC, and DC. AC stands for alternating current, and causes the muscles in the body to first contract one way, then violently contract the other. This may cause broken bones, or death in some cases. AC current will blow your opponent back away from you, how far depends on how much electricity they get pumped into them. DC stands for Direct Current, it only flows one way, and causes muscles to contract till they shatter bones, and finally tear. An opponent that is hit with enough DC current may be fried where they stand, or be crushed by their own muscles. The Electricity rune is a little strange in that it doesn't work like most other runes. Refer to the chart below for specifications on what you can do with each level.

Electrical Damage
Level Voltage Current Damage Type EP's needed to use
1 10,000 negligible Bashing 2
2 20,000 .5 amps Bashing 4
3 50,000 1 amp Lethal 6
4 100,000 5 amps Lethal 8
5 500,000 10 amps Lethal 10

Voltage determines how much electricity is flowing into the person, and determines how far back they get flung, or how much their muscles contract. Current is what deals the most damage, as it measures how fast electricity flows, a full amp will cook you where you stand. Every time you double the energy points you spend on the attack you may double voltage or current. At level 5 you should be able to jump start a car with your bare hands. You are able to control the amount of Current going into the attack. You may reduce the current to a negligible amount if you wish, this will not reduce damage, but it will make the Damage non-Lethal if it is dropped below one amp, and it will probably not kill whoever you use it on. Electricity can be fired at an opponent in the form of a bolt of lightning, or in ball form. The range on this is based on your energy control rating. It can also be conducted through water, wires, and other conductive materials.

[ Vacuum ]

Vacuum, as defined by an old Dreadnought, is just really thin air that normal beings can't breath. Good thing we're not normal beings huh? Once a Dreadnought gets this rune they no longer require breathing to sustain life. The Dreadnought's body will grow a few new glands, near the neck and heart, which will actually manufacture oxygen for their body to use. A very useful thing if you ask me, since many Dreadnought's travel through space on a daily basis. The Vacuum rune is represented by a diffused area of small particles of light. If you look really close, or watch it for a long time, you will notice that it is actually a star map of the known galaxies.
The Vacuum rune is a rather hard one to learn, and a harder one to know when to use. Due, mainly to the fact that not many people have a basic use for it.

Level 1: The Dreadnought may diffuse the air out of a small area or container, vacuum sealing whatever is in the container. This affect may also be used on someone's body, and will suck the air right out of their lungs till they leave the area. This is usually used as a warning, as it takes about three rounds to diffuse the air.
Level 2: The Dreadnought may diffuse a larger area of air out of a room or a large container, quickly. The sudden drop in pressure may cause people to get sick, have nose bleeds, or cause them to pass out. This doesn't get rid of the air, only diffuses it very quickly.
Level 3: The Dreadnought may literally suck all of the air out of an area the size of a room. This may cause windows, sealed jars or containers to explode in the sudden low pressure area, fires will go out immediately unless magical, and flying insects and animals will drop to the ground. the affect will not last long as most rooms aren't completely sealed. Anything caught in the vacuum, who is not immune to the affects, takes 10 dice of bashing damage per round. This kills bugs outright, and may knock someone out, or even kill if it lasts long enough.
Level 4: The Dreadnought may now extend his vacuum into a space that is not sealed. This requires diffusing the air from the area for one round, creating a solid patch of air in a box or other shape, then sucking out all the air. This can be a devastating attack, especially since air pressure in the area will drop to zero. Ears may begin to bleed, eyes may explode, your nose will definitely bleed, and all hostile activities will cease for those who must breath, as they begin to die. This deals 8 dice of lethal damage a round, and may cause a body to literally explode if kept up long enough.
Level 5: The Dreadnought may, for a few moments, cause all air around himself to disappear. This causes a few different affects. The first of which is, they are insulated from electricity, fire, and the wind. The second one is that their is no longer any drag on their body when they move, giving them a -2 difficulty to attack, or dodge. They are also able to double their maximum running speed for the duration of the use of this power.

[ Space ]

Space, the final frontier for some, but just the beginning for most Dreadnoughts. Once people realize that space isn't only that huge vacuum that surrounds the planet, but is actually all around us, inside us, and part of us, they will be much better off. Masters of space may never seem to move, they don't have to, everything shifts around them at their whim. The Space Rune is not represented by any one rune, it is everywhere on the body, and nowhere all at once. If someone studies it long enough, they will realize that there are hundreds of thousands of tiny dots all over the Dreadnought's body. One for each little atom, that makes up each cell, that makes up each organ, that makes up the body. The entire body glows when the space rune is used. Though most will never know why.
Dreadnoughts with the Space Rune seem to be untouchable by normal weapons, even magical ones pass right through them without leaving a scratch. At higher levels some people inadvertently kill themselves by attacking a Master of Space, who can, with but a thought, shift his own personal space to coincide directly with the personal space of another. Direct spatial attacks deal 5 dice of aggravated damage per level of the rune being used. Why aggravated? Because they’re literally being torn apart. Willpower is used to soak damage from these attacks, as the individual must try to force their body to remain in one piece.

Level 1: At this level a Dreadnought may shift a small piece of space for another, allowing them to grab objects from across a room, stab someone from a long distance, or block an attack without ever moving. The space to be shifted must be visible, and cannot exceed one cubic foot in size.
Level 2: At this level a Dreadnought may shift a bit of space that is roughly a cubic yard in size. Allowing them to move large objects from a large distance. This cannot be used to move a person, yet.
Level 3: At this level a Dreadnought may shift an amount of space equal to their own body size, or up to a 12 foot cube. The former is known as going spatial. A Condition in which a Dreadnought is completely immune to physical attack, but during which they also may not attack physically. Some Psionicist Dreadnoughts use this power constantly in battle, leaving their physical body untouchable while they shred their opponents mind.
Level 4: At this level a Dreadnought may shift the space of an object roughly the size of a house, about a 40 foot cube, or they may shift one small space into a number of spaces the same size equal to their level. Letting them attack more than one person at once, or block more than one attack at once.
Level 5: At this level a Dreadnought may shift the space of an object roughly the size of an entire city block, about a one thousand foot cube. Or they may shift the space of one small object to coincide with hundreds of other areas in space. Allowing them to use the attack commonly called 'The Wall of Blades', which is where a Master of Space causes his weapon to appear in hundreds of places at once around a single target, invariably shredding them into little pieces.
