[ Elemental Mastery ] Upon acquiring the Elemental Mastery Rune series, the Dreadnought will gain an understanding of how the elements interact with each other, and of how to form new elements by combining the 4 basic ones. The Elemental Mastery Rune series is represented by a cross that is found on the backs of both hands, the tops of the feet, and on the back of the skull. Each cross is in the shape of 4 arms, which all meet at the center, and have a clenched fist at the outer end. Each arm is a different color. Brown for earth, red for fire, blue for air, and green for water. Depending on which element you are using, the corresponding color will glow. [ Elemental Insight ] The first power level of this rune series is meant to help a Dreadnought learn how the Elements interact and behave when used. As such it only gives minor elemental abilities, and is to be used for experimentation. Level 1: Elemental Vision- Allows the Dreadnought to see the elemental energy that is contained in an object, and to classify objects by their elemental affinity. Level 2:Elemental Interaction- Allows the Dreadnought to see the interaction of elements on a small scale, and to witness how one type of elemental energy affects another. Level 3: Elemental Alteration- Allows the Dreadnought to add minute amounts of elemental energy to an object, altering it slightly. This is useful for making tools work better, or for making a weapon or armor cause or stop more damage. Level 4: Elemental Creation- Allows the Dreadnought to create a small amount of an element, normally for experimental purposes. The basic size allowed is roughly one cubic foot of the element. Level 5: Elemental Simulation- Allows the Dreadnought to simulate basic elemental rune affects through the manipulation of base elemental energy. This can actually duplicate the abilities from one first power level Elemental rune, for double the normal cost. [ Elemental Charge ] With this Rune comes the ability to control the base Elements. Level 1: Elemental Channel- Allows the Dreadnought to channel a small amount of elemental energy either into a weapon, a shield, or into them self. This provides either moderate protection from the particular element, or dealing extra damage to opposing elements. Level 2: Elemental Movement- Allows the Dreadnought to move a portion of an element that is either found naturally, or has been created. This movement can be in several manners, from making water flow into a barrel, or down someone's throat, to making the earth open up. This is limited to roughly 10 cubic feet of water and earth, and 20 cubic feet of air and fire. Level 3: Elemental Formation- Allows the Dreadnought to form small amounts of an element from nothing more than elemental energy. This is limited to 20 cubic yards of water and earth, and 50 cubic yards of air and fire. These may be shaped in any way you wish. Level 4: Elemental Discharge- Allows a Dreadnought to get rid of a small amount of an element, by discharging its substance into pure elemental energy. Amounts are limited to the same as level 3. Level 5: Elemental Control- Provides the Dreadnought with full control over the basic elements. They are able to move large amounts of the elements, and to form and discharge equally large amounts. (up to 200 cubic yards or water and earth, and 500 cubic yards of air and fire). They are also able to duplicate the affects of one elemental rune of the second power level, for double the normal cost. [ Elemental Summoning ] Just when they thought it was safe… The user of this rune can summon actual elemental spirits. These can range from nothing more than a basic elemental, to a combination of elements! When summoning an elemental, the amount of energy you spend determines how strong its body will be. For every 5 energy points you spend it gets 1 health level, 1 point in a physical trait, or 1 point in a mental trait. Summoned spirits have set attributes and knowledges. Caution, controlling an Elemental spirit after you've summoned it is not always easy, and if you give it too much power, it may turn on you. Level 1: You may summon a normal strength elemental spirit of one of the four basic types with stats of up to 5. Earth, water, air, or fire. Level 2: You may summon a strong combination elemental spirit with stats of up to 10. Ice, mud, lava, or smoke are all possibilities, as long as they only utilize two types of elemental energy. They may also be more powerful versions of the normal single elementals. Level 3: You may summon a powerful combination elemental spirit with stats up to 15. These may be any triple elemental form, or more powerful versions of the single or double elementals. Level 4: You may summon a very powerful elemental spirit with stats up to 20. These may contain any combination of elemental energy, or be very powerful versions of the weaker ones. Level 5: You may summon an Elemental Lord. These may have stats of up to 30, and may be comprised of any type of elemental energy you want. [ Elemental Mastery ] This is the pinnacle of the Elemental Series, and as such, it is nothing to laugh at. Level 1: The Dreadnought may channel large amounts of elemental energy into objects or other beings, making them temporarily immune to the affects of the chosen element. This can only be done with one type of element at a time. Level 2: The Dreadnought may create items that are formed with elemental affinities. These items vary in power, but are typically immune to the affects of their own elemental affinity. Level 3: The Dreadnought can take control of another beings summoned, or created, elemental. This requires a contest of willpower. Alternatively, they can also tap into the powers of one elemental rune of third power level, at double the normal cost. Level 4: The Dreadnought may alter the elemental flows in an area, possibly causing a natural disaster, or preventing one as the case may be. Level 5: The Dreadnought is now completely immune to elemental attack. |
